About

Brian T. Horan is a respected litigator with extensive experience in the public and private sectors. He brings strategic, creative thinking to every matter. Always prepared to try a case to verdict, Brian advocates zealously in and out of the courtroom to achieve the best possible results for his clients.

Brian builds each case with keen judgment and tactical planning undergirded by a passion for vindicating his clients’ rights. During the first decade-plus of his law career, Brian served in the New York City Office of the Corporation Counsel, going toe to toe with some of the premier law firms in the city to advance the public interest. In addition to commercial, land use, and real estate litigation, he pursued numerous False Claims Act claims to hold bad actors accountable for defrauding the government. For this work, Brian was recognized as a 40-under-40 “Rising Star” by the New York Law Journal. Having relocated to Berkshire County, and after working at one of the area’s leading law firms, Brian now focuses his practice on indigent criminal defense and civil litigation.

Brian received his B.A. from Columbia University and his J.D. from NYU School of Law, where he was an editor of the NYU Environmental Law Journal. As a student practitioner with the New York Civil Liberties Union, Brian played an instrumental role in litigation securing a First Amendment right of public access to quasi-criminal administrative proceedings. Brian is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and New York.
